Farmplan Business Cloud is bookkeeping software, meaning it helps business owners to keep a record of their transactions in a way that can be presented to stakeholders, such as an accountant and can be used to produce accounts which can be turned into tax returns.
Farmplan Business Cloud can produce accounting reports (i.e. profit and loss and balance sheets), but it cannot complete your tax return. To complete a tax return you will either need specialist third party software or an accountant. An accountant is strongly recommended. They will ensure the bookkeeping you have completed is correct, and will be able to find ways to make your accounts more tax efficient to reduce your tax liability.
We recommend that you make your accountant a user and grant them full access so that they can view your accounts and advise you if you have any accounting queries. At the end of the year they will be able extract all the details that they need.
Make sure that you enter clear descriptions against all entries and we recommend that you attach any original documents to each transaction so that they can view them.
Your accountant may wish to make adjustments to your accounts at the end of the year. They will be able to do this directly so that your figures are always up to date and accurate.
